Schooler Funeral Home is not to be confused with Schooler-Gordon, owned by Service Corporation International (SCI) of Houston, Texas. From its opening in February 1997, Schooler Funeral Home was owned and operated by Jim Schooler and his mother, Mary, until 2011, when the family made the decision to partner with Carriage Services, Inc. Now, Jim and his family have more time to devote to serving each family, rather than trying to balance day-to-day business activities with serving the community. Jim has more than 34 years of combined funeral director and funeral home management experience. Pair that experience with that of his father, Maurice Schooler, who was co-founder of Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors in 1962, it makes for an impressive tenure of serving the people of Amarillo and surrounding Panhandle communities.
Our very courteous and accommodating staff members believe in treating your family the way we would want our families to be treated. While visiting at our "home," each individual family automatically becomes a part of our "family."
Schooler Funeral Home is very different from the average funeral home. You are always welcome to come tour our facility and see for yourself the many special touches that make our "home" unique among the other funeral homes in Amarillo. We offer a warm, home-like atmosphere to ensure families feel more comfortable and nurtured than they might expect.
At Schooler Funeral Home, our product is compassion. There is absolutely no sales pressure. To this day, we believe in honoring the family's loved one, not merchandise or a corporate sales quota.
Schooler Funeral Home provides service to all families in need, honoring all beliefs and budgets. We are experienced and committed to offering choices to our families - more choices, at more affordable prices. We work at your convenience, not ours. You may have the type of service you choose at the time you choose to have it. We pledge to fulfill the expectations and serious obligations bestowed upon our profession along with the trust and confidence of the Amarillo community.
