Karen (Sanchez) Fogg

Karen Fogg, 57, of Amarillo, died on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Amarillo.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, February 24, 2017 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 4100 Coulter, with Rev. John Valdez as celebrant.   Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas 79110.

Karen was born August 27, 1959 in Amarillo to Tedisio and Genice Sanchez. She graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1977.  She later graduated from Amarillo College with an Associate’s degree and then from Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor’s degree. She married Karl Fogg at St. Laurence Catholic Cathedral on June 27, 1987.  Karen worked for almost twenty seven years at Pantex and was a long time member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.  She loved watching their son, J. T. play baseball when he was at Amarillo High.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother-in-law, Bruce Ford; and her father-in-law, Tom Fogg.

Karen is survived by her husband, Karl Fogg; her son, J.T. and girlfriend, Ella Sanders; her sister, Kim Ford and fiancé, Jimmie Flowers; her brother, Ted Sanchez and wife Gail; her mother-in-law, Gloria Fogg, all of Amarillo: and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Donate Life Texas, 2510 Westridge Street, Houston, Texas 77054 or a favorite charity.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00-8:00pm Thursday evening.
