Linda Luciel (Haas) Rogers

June 23, 1944 — May 16, 2017

Linda Luciel Haas Rogers, 72 of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 after a hard fought battle with leukemia.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Amarillo with Rev. Corky Holland officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.

Linda was born on June 23, 1944 in Phillips, Texas to Duane and Myrtle Haas.  She married Charles Clifton Rogers on September 4, 1964. Linda worked in the oil and gas industry for over 40 years. She recently celebrated her 40th year in the Desk and Derrick Club of Amarillo.  Linda enjoyed scrapbooking, painting, sewing, cake decorating and needle point.  She was always known for being faithful, loving and strong.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Borger and Amarillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda is survived by her husband, Charles Rogers; two daughters, Shari Sue Rogers Duke and husband Joe, and Adrena Ann Rogers Moreno and husband James; one sister, Wanda Sue Haas Wiley and husband Kent; five grandchildren, Caitlin and John Duke, and Madison, Braden and Kayla Moreno; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 1208 S. Tyler, Amarillo, TX 79101; Kindred Hospice, 3232 Hobbs Rd. Ste A, Amarillo, TX 79109;  or Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:30 PM, Friday, May 19, 2017, in Schooler Funeral Home’s Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia.
