Albert Joe Gomez

Albert Joe Gomez, 90, of Amarillo passed away peacefully on March 2, 2022.

Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 12pm at St. Francis Church, 5005 Klinke in Amarillo. A luncheon will follow the service. Inurnment will take place at Fort Lyons National Cemetery in Fort Lyons, Colorado on April 4, 2022.

Albert Joe Gomez was born March 31, 1931 in Las Animas, Colorado to Felipe Gomez and Esmel Montano. He married Lucy Montoya on January 21, 1953 and together they celebrated 65+ years of marriage.

Albert served in the US Navy from 1950-1954 and was a very proud Korean War Veteran

Albert is preceded in death by his beloved Lucy. Those left to cherish Albert’s memories are his 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
