Alice R. Miller, age 99 departed this earthly home to her heavenly home on July 28,2026.

A celebration of Alice's life will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 10:00 am at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Burial will be private.

Alice was born September 26, 1926, in Montague County, Tx. She grew up in the family home on Mt. Tabor on a farm. Like most children in those days she helped with farm work, hoeing and picking cotton, milking cows, gardening and other farm work. She was the daughter of Talmadge Magee and Maggie Ruby Pillow. She had three brothers, Lee, Brud and Morris, two sisters, Ilene and Mary Magee. She attended school and graduated from Mt Tabor school.

On April 11, 1948, she married Clovis Miller. They had four children, Ruby Alvern, Mary Ilena, Mark Wayne and Russell Edward. They made their home in Montague, Rule, Coleman and Amarillo, Tx. Alice was first a homemaker. She loved caring for her family, doing housework, canning vegetables and making baby quilts. She was a long-time member of Caprock Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter Ruby Alvern McDowell of Amarillo, son Mark Wayne Miller and wife Mary of Scottsboro Alabama, son Russell Edward and wife Marilyn of Amarillo, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Alice's parents, her husband Clovis and daughter Mary Miller Moreland preceded her in death. The family would like to express thanks to Christina and her staff at the group home for their tender care.
