September 12, 1936 — May 6, 2021

Amarillo

Ann Deem Farmer Kelley, 84, of Amarillo, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021. Family will hold a private graveside service. Memorial services will be at 12:00 pm Tuesday at First Baptist Church Sanctuary, 1208 S. Tyler St. with Dr. Howard Batson officiating. Family visitation will be Monday, 6-7 pm at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Ann was born September 12, 1936 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Adam Charles and Dorothy Deem. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1954. She then attended Monticello Junior College in Illinois and Oklahoma State University where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She moved to Amarillo after graduation and began teaching at Avondale Elementary School. She was introduced to Kenneth Farmer by his nephew who was a student at the school. They were married in 1962. They were married 42 years until he passed away in 2005. She married Raymond Kelley in 2009. She was a member of First Baptist Church since arriving in Amarillo. She enjoyed attending high school and Alpha Chi Omega sorority reunions. She loved spending time with her family particularly her granddaughters. There were always three things she enjoyed talking about: her experiences growing up in Shawnee, her time at OSU and her sorority. She never met a stranger, especially if they were wearing her OSU orange and black.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Kenneth Farmer, a son-in-law, Nigel Wise and a stepson, Jeff Kelley.

She is survived by her husband Raymond, her brother Dr. Dick Deem (Cody) of Shawnee, Oklahoma, her sons Philip and Patrick (Amy) of Amarillo, her daughters Kelly Robertson (Clark) of Amarillo and Kenna Wise of San Antonio; granddaughters Ashley and Abby Robertson of Amarillo, Rachelle Wise of San Antonio and stepdaughter Charmaine Morehead (Mo) of San Antonio.

The family suggest memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Amarillo.
