Barbara Anne Craig Klein

Barbara Anne Craig Klein, 88, of Amarillo died Tuesday, August 24, 2021.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Barbara was born May 20, 1933 in Hayti, MO to Victor and Evelyn Craig. She met Byron Roy Klein in San Antonio, TX and they married on October 6, 1951. After living in Texas, Louisiana and California, they moved to Amarillo in February 1963. She was a loving homemaker and wife.

Barbara was also a wonderful mother and friend. She was very creative and had many hobbies that allowed her to express her artistic abilities. She was an avid reader and enjoyed painting, sewing, cooking and gardening. She especially loved growing herbs and roses.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor Craig and Evelyn Wilkinson Craig Garner; brother, Rondal Craig; daughter in law, Terri Klein; and granddaughter, Melissa Klein.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Byron Klein; brother, David Craig of New Braunfels, TX; her children, Karen Klein, Debra Somerville and husband, Teddy Somerville, Carolyn Gray and husband, Todd Gray all of Amarillo and Byron Klein, Jr. of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Brandon Somerville, Vanessa Somerville, Emily Somerville, Jason Klein, Connor Gray and Madison Gray; and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to American Heart Association, 6605 W. I40, Amarillo, TX 79106.
