Barbara Ellis

On Friday, June 17, 2022, Barbara Ellis passed away peacefully at the age of 71 in her sleep. As Barbara has rejoined her heavenly father and gained her wings. A lifelong Texan native, Barbara loved her town of Amarillo. She was born on August 1, 1950 to Dwain and Emarie Little.

Though Barbara’s health was compromised over the years, few people knew the extent to which she struggled. She was a child of God and practiced strong faith through attending church and reading scriptures. She loved learning about God’s word and her indomitable spirit kept her pushing to learn more.

Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Amy (Jeff) Mahan and Jamie Ellis; grandchildren, Connor and Cooper; and sister, Dwaina Pitts. Her family invites the community to join them in a celebration of her life.

The memorial service will be Monday, June 27th at 10am at Schooler Funeral Home on 4100 S. Georgia.
