Beryl Rae Reynolds

March 21, 1934 — October 3, 2025

Amarillo

Beryl Reynolds, age 91, of Amarillo, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted mother, sister, granny, great-granny, and great-great-granny and aunt, she lived a life full of laughter, faith, and love. Though she has left this earthly home, her melody lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Beryl’s life will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Comanche Trail Church of Christ, 2700 E 34th Ave, Amarillo, Texas, with Loren Harper officiating. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering and celebrating a life filled with music, laughter, and love. Burial will be private.

Born on March 21, 1934, in Gruver, Texas, to BW and Velma (Hayes) Renner, Beryl was one of 5 children and proudly carried the values of faith, family, and kindness throughout her life. A true Christian woman, she lived with grace, compassion, and a deep trust in God’s promises.

Beryl had a joyful spirit and a love for music that touched everyone around her. She could often be found humming along to gospel hymns, tapping her foot to country classics, or singing along to old favorites on the radio. No matter the tune, music was her companion—it brought her peace, laughter, and connection to the people she loved.

She also enjoyed the fun and fellowship of playing bingo, where her quick wit and contagious laughter made her a favorite among friends. Family gatherings were her happiest times—filled with stories, laughter, good food, and the sounds of music playing in the background. She made everyone feel welcome, always making sure no one left without a hug or a smile.

Her greatest joy came from her family. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved deeply. To them, she was “Granny” or “Granny Girl”—a source of strength, humor, and endless love. Her warmth and wisdom will continue to guide them for generations to come.

She was preceded in death by her parents, BW Renner and Velma (Hayes) Renner, husband, Roger Reynolds, siblings, Bobby Sue Dempsey, BJ Renner, LaVeta Neal, children, Bland Levitt, Laura Harper, Timmie Harper, and Diane Koetting.

She is survived by sister, Wanda Russell, daughter, Lisa Golden and husband Chuck, son Dusty Reynolds, grandchildren, Brandi Judd and husband, Shawn, Kaci Hall and husband, Jarvin, Charli Contreras and husband, Steven, Heather Lothes and husband, Andrew, Justin Jasper, 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

“Her laughter was a gift, her faith our example, and her love our greatest blessing.”
