Betty Agnes Steffek

Betty was born September 24, 1915 in East Gate, Texas to Joe and Vlasta Kolarik. She married Albert Peter Steffek on June 30, 1937.
Betty spent most of her married life in Bellaire, Texas, moving to Amarillo in 1992. As a young mother, she was an excellent cook making homemade bread, kalaches, strudel and wonderful cakes for the family. She was also an excellent gardener.
Special thanks to Bivins Nursing Home nurses and staff for their love and support throughout her stay there, especially during the last few weeks of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1969
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Kammerer and husband, Joe of Amarillo, TX; her son, Keith Albert Steffek and wife, Jonnie of Katy, TX; her two grandchildren, Joe M. Kammerer and wife, Teri of Hempstead, TX, and Denise Carthel and husband, Steve of Amarillo, TX; her six great grandchildren, Abbey, Amy, and Austin Carthel, Chance, Morgan, and Kade Kammerer; cousins, Viola Janda and Jerome Janda of Rosenberg, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
