Clifton “Cliff” Nabors, 86, of Amarillo, was born May 13, 1939, and passed away at his home on January 14, 2026.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 1 pm in the Llano Pantheon Mausoleum of Llano Cemetery.
Cliff was born on May 13, 1939 in Floydada, TX to Fred and Golden Nabors. He was the first of three children. The family lived in Clovis, NM until moving to Amarillo when Cliff was in elementary school. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1957.
Cliff enrolled in the Navy in Key West, FL, from September 1957 to May 1960. He was on the U.S.S. Sennet (SS408).
He returned to Amarillo and met the love of his life. Cliff married Karen Wallis in 1962. Cliff worked for Sid Stout Ford for many years and then, joined the family business at Kirby Sales and Service. After retiring, Cliff and Karen spent time at Greenbelt Beach Club. Cliff’s hobbies were painting and bodywork. He was a member of the Kiwanis club and Mustang club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Karen Nabors, son, Lance Nabors and sister, Nancy Craven.
He is survived by his daughter, Kari Kim York; brother, Nathan Nabors and four grandchildren, Allison York of Lubbock, Kaytlin York, Evan Nabors and Colton Nabors, all of Amarillo.
