Debra Delia Zamora, age 64, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family and community.
Viewing hours will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 1 pm to 7 pm, at Schooler Funeral home, 4100 S. Georgia. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 3 pm, at Earth Memorial Cemetery in Earth, Texas, with Deacon Ronald Herr of St Mary’s Catholic Cathedral in Amarillo presiding.
Debra was born on September 16, 1961, in Muleshoe, Texas, to her parents Erasmo Zamora, who preceded her in death, and Belia San Miguel Zamora, who also preceded her in death and Mother Antonia Zamora who survives her.
She spent most of her life in Amarillo, Texas, where she built a meaningful life centered around family, friendships, and service.
Debra was a proud graduate of Lazbuddie High School and continued her education at Amarillo College, where she studied Business Management. Debra dedicated many years of hard work and commitment to her career. She was employed at Amarillo State Bank and later became a devoted 30-year veteran of Baptist Saint Anthony’s, where she touched many lives through her service and compassion.
Family was the heart of Debra’s life. She is survived by her loving siblings: Geno Garcia and spouse Rosa Garcia; Sandra Zamora and spouse Telvi Quintanilla; Connie Garcia; Teresa (Terry) Hernandez and spouse Tony Hernandez; Cynthia Zamora Thompson; Erasmo Jr. Zamora; Ramon Zamora and spouse Phillip Zamora; and Mario Zamora and spouse Nancy Zamora. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews: as well as a cherished friend Norma Morales who will forever hold her memory close.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Jimmy Garcia and Franky Garcia. Franky’s spouse, JoAnn Garcia, survives.
Debra found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time with her family and friends, playing bingo, visiting casinos, and was a faithful fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Her laughter, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Debra’s life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and the importance of family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.
