Diana was born on January 26, 1959, in Amarillo, TX, to Donald and Patsy (Harbour) Anglin.
On February 12, 1988, Diana married the love of her life, John W. Schehl, in Waynesville, Missouri. They shared four children. They were a match made in heaven. They loved to ride on John’s motorcycle together, travel, bowling on a league together, and just enjoyed time spent with family. They celebrated over 26 years of marriage before John’s passing in 2014. Their love was endless.
Diana had a very successful career in sales and advertising. She could sell sand in the desert. Diana was the only female car salesperson at Sellers Sexton Ford in St. Robert, Missouri at that time. She moved on from there to start several businesses of her own before moving with her family back to Amarillo in 1998, where she became a finance director for John Chandler Ford, then moving onto Gene Messer Cadillac.
Diana had several hobbies. She loved to decorate her home and was a pro at wall papering. She also made dried flower arrangements and jewelry. She had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around. Diana could really tell a story; it might take her forever doing it though!
She also had a great love of animals and had many dogs throughout her life. She has been a loving caretaker of Willie the Turtle for the last 26 years, feeding her hotdogs and ham by hand in the pond behind her home.
John and Diana had eight grandchildren and Diana relished being their “MeMe”. She was the perfect grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She sure had a love for sweets, and you would constantly find her getting a Ziplock bag out at bedtime and filling it with fruit snacks and Reese's white chocolate! And let us tell you, she was the queen of procrastination and taking forever to get ready! But that’s just who this amazing woman was, and we wouldn’t have wanted her any other way!
Diana leaves behind her brother Terry Anglin and wife Trish of Schertz, TX: her children, son Donald O’Brien and wife Kelly of Midland, TX; daughter Lisa Crawford and husband Kenneth of Amarillo, TX; step-daughter Deborah Schehl of Waynesville, MO; step-daughter Carey Schehl and wife Angie of Springfield, MO; grandchildren Logan O’Brien, Dylan O’Brien and wife Taylor, Gracie O’Brien; Kaytlin LeClear and husband Jason, Haley Krutzsch and fiancé Chris Pacifico, Ethan Byers, Braelee Crawford, Fancy Crawford, Haven Crawford, Kenna Crawford, Ty Crawford, and Alexandria Tandeski; Sidney Schehl-Johnson and husband Toby, and Jared Hyatt; nephew Dusty Perry; 6 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; brother-in-law Aaron Huckins; nephew Gabriel Huckins and wife Taysha; niece Amber Jimenez and husband Adam; niece Candice Schueler and husband Wade; cousin Sandy Propes and husband Mike; and beloved pets Colt, Rona, Jax, Gina, and Willie.
