Edgar Spencer Knierim

January 20, 1921 — June 10, 2009

Edgar was born January 20, 1921 in Carson County to W. E. and Emma Knierim. He grew up in Carson County and attended Liberty School. He was drafted into the Army Air Corp and served as a ground crewman for B29 bombers stationed on Guam, preparing for the bombing of Japan. After the war, he met Ann Wilson and they were married for over 50 years. He moved to Claude and was employed at Bob’s 66 Phillips service station as the station attendant for many years. He was a member of the Harold Gist Post 344 of the American Legion for over 60 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Knierim.
He is survived by his sister Fern Colson of Moore, OK; two nieces and three nephews.
