Edith Mae Polk of Amarillo passed away on February 2, 2021.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 6, 2021 in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.

Edith was born March 19, 1953 in Waurika Oklahoma to the Edith parents of Herman and Katherine Hood. She attended Waurika Public Schools. Edith enjoyed doing her Family Geology and going to Yard Sales. Edith was a collector of many thing from Teddy Bears to Cookie Jars and Salt and Pepper shakers. Not to mention Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Edith was a devoted Dog mom to their 2 dogs P.J and Jo Jo.

Edith leaves behind the Love of her life Larry Marshell Polk of 22 years, her daughter Brandy Polk and husband Heath Hankins, 3 Grand Daughters Caitlyn Polk, Catrynna Polk, Georgia Hankins, her Brothers Ed Balunas of Stigler Okla Douglas & Tersea Martin of Crosby Texas, Dennis Martin of Crosby Texas, her sisters Joyce an Dale Evans of North Zulch Texas, Denise Martin of Stigler Okla. And Billie Jean and David Jones of Stigler Oklahoma, numerous Nieces and Nephews and Sister In-laws and Brother in–laws.

Edith is preceded in Death by her Parents Herman and Katherine ‘Hood’ Martin and her Son James Edward Hood and Her Sister Linda Kay Taylor.
