Baby Eli Alexander Hernandez was born on July 3, 2026 as beautiful as he was still and peaceful.

A funeral service honoring his brief, yet deeply impactful life, will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia.

For 38 weeks, Eli was loved beyond measure and eagerly anticipated. His parents dreamed of welcoming a little boy into their family, while his sister, Emilia, excitedly looked forward to embracing her new role as a loving big sister. His nursery was carefully prepared, and their hearts were filled with hope and expectation. The moments of sweet hiccups, kicks and flutters as his momma carried him will forever be cherished. Eli had a head full of hair and looked so much like his sister, with the best eyebrows, perfect little lips and chunky cheeks. His sweet face, tiny hands and feet will forever hold a place in the hearts of his family who love him deeply. Although their hearts are broken, they find comfort in the hope that love is stronger than loss and that Eli's life, though measured in moments rather than years, will forever remain a part of their family.

Eli is survived by his parents, Andres and Aubreauna (Bustos) Hernandez; big sister, Emilia; grandparents, Rebecca Fuller, Victor Bustos, and Gloria and Pedro Mares; and great-grandparents, Hortencia and Guillermo Hernandez and Maria and Esquipula Bustos; aunts, Juanita Jennings (Patrick), Alex Noriega (Jeremy), Amber Wade (Hayden) and Alyssa Ruiz (Adrian); uncles, Ashton Bustos (Crystal) and Addison Bustos (Nicole); and many cousins and extended family.

Eli was met in heaven by his angel sibling Eri, great-grandparents Sid and Mildred Fuller, Rosa Gardea, and grandfather Servando Hernandez.

Though his time on earth was short, Baby Eli leaves behind a lifetime of love that will never fade. We will always long for his cuddles and what could have been, but we are grateful for the time we had with our sweet boy who only ever knew love.

Eli - meaning “ascending”    Alexander - meaning “protector”    We have faith that he is living up to his name.
