Erasmo Cisneros Jr., age 70 of Amarillo, was unexpectedly called to Heaven on March 14, 2026, at his home.
There will be a public viewing on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 1 PM until 6 PM and Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 12 PM until 6 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia. A Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM.
The funeral will be on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Power Church with Pastor Manny De Los Santos officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery.
Erasmo was born on February 16, 1956, in Alice, Texas, to his parents, Erasmo and Trinidad Cisneros Sr., and was one of eleven siblings. At a young age, he left school to join his father working on the family farm. Even then, he carried a dream in his heart of one day becoming a truck driver.
Through hard work and determination, Erasmo eventually achieved that dream and made a career behind the wheel. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and took pride in cleaning his truck and traveling down the road. Throughout the years, he worked for Affiliated Foods, Plains Transportation, Dee King Trucking, and many more companies.
Erasmo was an energetic and fun-loving man who loved to sing and dance; you could say he was the life of the party. He had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and valued. As a father and grandfather, he was deeply devoted to his family. He was ever present in the lives of his children and grandchildren, often dropping by just to “check in” and spend time with them. Those simple moments meant everything to him.
Erasmo loved to laugh and was known for his quirky sayings, including his favorite: “That’s how I roll… cinnamon roll!” Above all else, Erasmo’s greatest joy in life was his family, and the time he shared with them and a nice cold BUD LIGHT, he will forever be treasured.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erasmo and Trinidad; three brothers, Vince, Robert, and Israel; three sisters, Linda and Isabelle; an infant sibling; two sons, Rito and Jesus; and a granddaughter, Faith.
Erasmo is survived by his four daughters, Monica Gonzales, Aimee Cisneros, Stephany Sena and husband John, and Tifphany Cisneros; three sons, Erasmo Cisneros III and wife Laurie, Raymond Cisneros and fiancé Michelle, and Rickey Cisneros and wife Deniz; four sisters, Benita, Ester and Noe, Adela and Frank, and Ramona and Raymond; twenty grandchildren, Alexandria, Mario, Marissa, Mariah, Isaiah, Alexius, John, Izick, Hazel, Erasmo B., Emily, Anthony, Melanie, Makayla, Miley, Rickey, Edith, Jacob, Diamond and Jace; and five great-grandchildren, Kayden, Abel, Matthew, Jaxson, Luciana; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
