Frances M. Cheeck

Mrs. Cheek was born on September 23, 1922 in Dalhart, Texas to Ambrose Jackson and Allie Lavenia Denman.  She married the love of her life, Frank J. Cheek on June 25, 1941 in Channing. The couple moved to Amarillo from Channing in 1943.  They celebrated 62 years of marriage until his death.  In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she worked as an enumerator for the United States Census Bureau.  Mrs. Cheek was a long time member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Pamela Lee Cheek Rose in 1974; her brother, Robert A. Denman in 1997 and by her husband Frank in 2003.
