Service will be held in the Pantheon Mausoleum
Geraldine (Jeri) Epps was born in Levelland, TX to Conon and Gussie Potts on May 21, 1929. She passed to the other side to be with Jesus on July 14, 2026 with her family at her side.
Graveside services will be held at Llano Cemetery in the Pantheon Mausoleum on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Greg Corona officiating.
Jeri's family moved to Dumas, TX in 1943 and she graduated from Dumas High School in 1946. She began her career with Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America. In 1949 she married Hubert Norrell and from this union two sons were born, Billy and Barry Norrell. In 1951 Jeri went to work for the Bureau of Mines (Helium Activity) for eighteen years. She then transferred to Bureau of Reclamation and retired in 1982 with 31 years of Federal service.
In 1966 she married Bill Epps and they lived in Florida for ten years and traveled in their RV. They eventually moved to Whitney, TX in 1966 where she was a member of Sun Country Chapel. After Bill's death she moved back to Amarillo to be close to her family.
Jeri is preceded in death by her two husbands, Bill Epps; the father of her two sons and Hubert Norrell; four brothers, Joe, Durwood, Donald and Jimmy Potts; two sisters, Agatha Terry and Gay Morgan; three brothers-in-law, George Terry, Marlin Perkins and Robert Morgan; and two sisters-in-law Gloria Potts and Barbara "Nubbin" Potts.
She is survived by two sons; Billy Norrell and wife Dana of Amarillo, Texas and Barry Norrell of Marble Falls, Texas; two sisters Pat Perkins of Amarillo, Texas and Betty Eiffert and husband Barry of Versailles, Kentucky; three grandsons, Zachary Norrell, Nicholaus Norrell and Tucker Norrell, all of Amarillo, Texas; and three great grandsons, Clayton, Gavin and Jonathan Norrell also of Amarillo; three stepchildren Deana Schneider, Karen Durst and Richard Epps; six step grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
