McKinney, Texas

Helen Maxine Beasley Kilpatrick passed into the presence of our Lord on November 28, 2025 at the age of 104. She was born on October 15, 1921 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Henry Oscar Beasley and Bertha Barnes Beasley. She was the second to the youngest of eight siblings and grew up on a farm near Cache, Oklahoma. She was the last surviving sibling.

Helen met her husband Oscar Lowell Kilpatrick, also a native of Oklahoma, in Long Beach, California where Helen worked as a riveter on airplanes and Lowell worked on ships during WW II. They were married on July 11, 1943 and welcomed their first daughter Betty Jean on October 18, 1944. In 1945, the family of three moved to Elk City, Oklahoma where their second daughter Barbara Ann was born on July 5, 1947. The family also lived in Pampa and Amarillo. She worked as a manager for Toot ‘N Totem convenience stores in Amarillo for many years. After her husband died, Helen lived in Plano, Texas for almost 17 years, enjoying making new friends at her church, playing bridge and helping others. In 2021 she moved to a senior community in McKinney, Texas. We are very grateful to all of the caregivers at Village on the Park at Stonebridge Ranch and Guardian Hospice for the wonderful care they provided in the last years of her life.
