Iris was born on December 3, 1936, in Chapin, South Carolina to Daniel Malpass and Susie Elizabeth Nicholson. She was married for 54 years to her husband Art who preceded her in death in 2010. She attended Amarillo college and West Texas State University and then worked for the Amarillo Independent School District. Iris and Art owned the original Dunkin Donuts and Tico-Taco here in Amarillo. Most of all she loved her family. Everyone who knew Nanny always had a seat her table.
