James Robert Burroughs, age 74, died on October 25, 2015, in Amarillo, Texas.
The funeral is scheduled for James on Wednesday, October 28 at 10:00 AM at Comanche Trail Church of Christ with Loran Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
James was born on April 28, 1941 in Mountain View, Arkansas. He worked in the fashion industry for 40 years as a designer, pattern maker and tailor.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate James’ life. The family will receive guests at the funeral home this evening from 7PM until 8PM.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Monnie Burroughs, of Mountain View Arkansas; his brother, Bill Burroughs, of Arkansas; and a son-in-law, Tim Young of Amarillo, Texas.
James is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alice Burroughs; his sons, John Burroughs of North Carolina, and Jeff Burroughs of Arkansas; his daughters, Jamie Ried and Melanie Young Mayfield, both of Amarillo; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
