Janice Carroll Winters

Jan was born March 13, 1940 in Galveston to Mr. and Mrs. Trennis Mark. She graduated from Nocona High School. She worked as a bank teller at various banks. She started a new career as an apartment manager both in Dallas and in Amarillo. She married John Winters in Amarillo on May 27, 1988. She was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Payne.
She is survived by her husband, John of Amarillo; her sons, Bryan Payne of Driftwood, TX; Tim Payne of Amarillo; her children by marriage, Angela Bailey and husband Rodney of Amarillo; Lisa Worthington of Tahlequah, OK; and Greg Winters and wife Theresa of Arlington; her brother Trennis Mark of White House, TX; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by a large extended family, including David and Eddie Waldrip, who helped to raise Jan and her brother after the loss of their mother.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to a favorite charity.
