Jesus "Frank" Martiniano Renteria

October 4, 1939 — September 5, 2025

Amarillo

J. M. “Frank” Renteria, 85, of Amarillo passed peacefully in his home on September 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 5 pm to 6 pm at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Rosary will begin at 6 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, 1200 N. Washington with Revered Avitas Siriwa presiding. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery East.

Frank was born October 4, 1939 to Martin and Gloria (Aguilar) Renteria in Amarillo, Texas. He was educated in Amarillo’s public schools. Having an inquisitive mind and having never met a stranger, he could talk to anyone; leading to a life of working with the public.

Frank spent many years as an excellent mechanic, insurance representative, and a car salesman; really using his talkative nature to its best. Frank loved fishing, camping, and music.

During his final years you would often find him on his patio listening to a variety of music with his constant and faithful sidekick, Sophie.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Gloria Renteria, his brother, Joe Renteria, and sister in law, Aurora Renteria. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 42 years, Nadine Renteria, sisters, Rosa Herrera (Robert), Janie Hernandez (Joe), and Priscilla Cruz (Carlos), brother, Robert Renteria (Karen); daughters, Jenifer Kohut (Konan), Amy Heard (David), Lesley Stout (Bryan), and Deborah Renteria (Val Sarracino); sons, Steven Renteria (Dedra), and Eddie Renteria (LaDonna). Frank also leaves many nieces and nephews, a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; his devoted nurse, Danielle Wilkins and her family, as well as many friends and acquaintances.

The family wishes to thank all of the nurses and care givers from BSA Hospice Care of the Southwest’s Compassionate Care Team for the love and attention they provided.
