Jesús Manuel “Manny” Rodríguez, de 30 años, de Amarillo, fue quitado de esta vida el 24 de marzo de 2024 en Amarillo.

Se rezará un rosario el martes 2 de abril de 2024 a las 6:00 p. m. en Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 South Georgia. La misa fúnebre será el miércoles 3 de abril de 2024 a las 10:00 a. m. en la iglesia católica St. Laurence. El celebrante será el reverendo Taylor Elzner. Seguirá el entierro en el Cementerio Llano East.


Manny nació el 7 de enero de 1994 en Anaheim, California, de sus padres, Jesús Manuel Sr y María Blanca Rodríguez.
Se casó con Perla Villela en Amarillo el 14 de septiembre del 2019. Manny era un camionero que disfrutaba estar en la carretera.
Aunque la vida de Manny terminó demasiado pronto y dadas las circunstancias tal vez nunca lo entendamos del todo, es muy importante saber que era un hombre increíble. Cuando era niño, él y su hermana hacían muchas travesuras, manteniendo a sus padres ocupados y entretenidos. Era un amante de la diversión, con la sonrisa más hermosa y un corazón enorme. Manny adoraba a su familia, especialmente a sus hijos, y apreciaba pasar tiempo con ellos y su familia extendida


A Manny le sobreviven su esposa, Perla; su hija, Emily Jade; su hijo, Manuel Tadeo; sus padres, Jesús y María Rodríguez; su hermana Cristela Rodríguez; sus abuelos, Aurelia Rodríguez, Miguel Rodríguez y Tomasa Flores; su tía, Bertha Flores; su sobrina Xomara Rodríguez; su sobrino, José Guzmán; y muchos otros familiares y amigos.



Jesus Manuel “Manny” Rodriguez, age 30, of Amarillo, was taken from this life on March 24, 2024, in Amarillo.

A rosary will be said on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 South Georgia.  The funeral mass will be on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Laurence Catholic Church.  The celebrant will be Rev. Taylor Elzner.  Interment will follow at Llano East Cemetery.

Manny was born January 7, 1994, in Anaheim, California, to his parents, Jesus Manuel Sr and Maria Blanca Rodriguez.

He married Perla Villela in Amarillo on September 14, 2019. Manny was a truck driver who enjoyed being on the road.

Even though Manny’s life ended much too soon and under the circumstances we may never fully understand, it is so important to know he was an amazing man. As a child, he and his sister got into plenty of mischief, keeping their parents busy and entertained. He was fun-loving, with the most gorgeous smile and a huge heart. Manny adored his family, especially his children, and cherished spending time with them and his extended family.  

Manny is survived by his wife, Perla; his daughter, Emily Jade; his son, Manuel Tadeo; his parents, Jesus and Maria Rodriguez;  his sister Cristela Rodriguez; his grandparents, Aurelia Rodriguez, Miguel Rodriguez, and Tomasa Flores; his aunt, Bertha Flores; his niece Xomara Rodriguez; his nephew, Jose Guzman; and many other extended family and friends.
