Johnnie B. Halsey

Johnnie was born November 25, 1922 in Quail, Texas to Clarence and Bertha Blevins. She attended high school in Quail. She met Ray Halsey and they married in Amarillo on October 1, 1943. They lived in Amarillo most of their adult life. Johnnie supported her family working as the office manager for Lee Optical for over thirty years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, who was devoted to her family and friends. She supported many friends and family members throughout the years by providing a safe home, encouraging words and loving actions. . Burial will be held at 3:00 PM at the Quail Cemetery in Quail, Texas.
Ray preceded her in death in 2002.
She is survived by her son, Stevan Halsey and wife Vickie of Canyon; three grandchildren, Taylor, Rheagan and Chesa, with fiancé David Morris; five sisters, Morine Conner of Guymon, OK, Bonnie Robertson of Amarillo, Mae Patterson of Hereford, Jo Phillips of Oklahoma and Iris Connally of Amarillo; one brother, Marvin Blevins of Quail;, along with many nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
