Juan R. Gonzalez

Juan R. Gonzalez, age 77, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family, including Roxie and Duke.

A memorial service will be on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S Georgia, at 2:00 PM. Corey Sams of Cliffside Baptist Church will officiate. 

Juan was born December 3, 1946, in Matamoras, Mexico, to his parents, Rafael and Moraima Gonzalez.

On May 23, 1987, Juan married his best friend, Pam. Together, they operated A&W Transfer Bekins. 

Juan was never happier than when his family and friends surrounded him unless they happened to be hanging out, fishing, and barbequing at Lake Meredith together. Juan had a passion for all things related to trucking. Although he is now traveling on a new road, he will forever be loved and missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Stacy and Stephanie.

Juan is survived by his wife, Pam; his two sons, Brandon and Joseph; his brother, Jose Romero, and his wife, June; grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, and Ashley; his faithful four-legged children, Duke and Roxie; by his grand dog, Ellie.
