Judith "Judy" Ann (Leland) Stout

Judith “Judy” Ann Stout, age 80, of Amarillo, entered the gates of Heaven on May 29, 2023, in Amarillo.

Private services were held with Rev. Bob Miller officiating.

Judy was born July 30, 1942, in Pampa, Texas, to Everett Eugene and Martella Marie Howell Leland.  She graduated from Pampa High School in 1960.  She married William W. Stout, MD, in Clovis, New Mexico, on October 17, 1973.

She worked as a cosmetologist for many years, but her favorite occupation was that of homemaker for her family.

She was a member of Hillside Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William W. Stout, in 2008; and her sister Donna Harrison in 2009.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Michelle DeForest, and her husband Mitch of Amarillo; by her son Derek Wood and his wife Torra of Canadian; her brother, Joe Leland DDS and his wife Janiece of Amarillo; her five grandchildren, Keely Stockton, Boston Wood, Journey Wood, Cody Stavenhagen and Casey Stavenhagen; and by her three great-grandchildren, Kaydence Stockton, Kempson Stockton, and Damian Trejo.

The family suggests that memorials be made to the Amarillo Animal Shelter, 12500 FM 1541, Amarillo, Texas 79118
