Claude

Judy Ann Perkins, age 79, passed from this life on July 18, 2025, in Claude, Texas.

The family will receive guest on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 5:30 until 6:30 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel.

Judy was born on January 24, 1946, in Hill, Texas, to her parents, Ernest Richard “E.R.” and Jewell Dean Twitty Bresler. She graduated from Abilene Christian University and later earned a second degree in Education from West Texas State University. A lifelong learner, Judy had an enduring passion for education and the pursuit of knowledge.

Her career in education began at Morning Side in Dumas ISD, where she worked in kindergarten and then moving to the resource class. She had a unique ability to connect with children and calm them—often through her love of playing the piano. Later, after moving from Dumas, she joined Canyon ISD as an educational diagnostician, where she served faithfully for many years.

Judy was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and actively served in various roles at San Jacinto Church of Christ. Her love for people and her servant’s heart were evident in all she did.

In retirement, Judy continued to give back to her community as a CASA volunteer and through work at local animal shelters. She cherished her time with her grandchildren—especially Lauren, her first, who forever changed her heart. She also found great joy in gardening and had a special talent for making anything grow.

Judy’s legacy of kindness, service, and love for others will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Terry Perkins in 1992 and her son, Sean Perkins.

Judy is survived by her daughter Tiffany Phillips and her fiancé Jose Aguayo of Weatherford; her son Jon Perkins of Amarillo; her brother Rick Bresler and his wife Minnie of Granbury; eight grandchildren, Luke, Derek, Chris, Hanna, Lauren, Kambrie, Tabitha and Ripley; and four great grandchildren, Liam, Calliope, Ezra, and Nash.
