Kenneth "Smitty" John Smith

Kenneth John Smith (Smitty), 64, of Amarillo passed away August 25, 2021.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2021 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born born August 22, 1957 in East Paterson, NJ. Smitty had a passion for repairing and restoring classic cars. He was an honorable and loving friend. He was a devoted and faithful husband. He was a dutiful and supporting father. He was a kind and loving gentle giant. He carried an unconditional love for all his family and friends. He was loved and respected by all who worked with him and knew him. He touched everybody he ever met. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was generous, compassionate, fair, and honest. He was a hero to so many people, both in life and in his passing. His devotion to his family and friends was always felt. He wore his heart on his sleeve and we were honored to have known and loved him. He will be greatly missed but forever loved and forever in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers

Smitty is survived by his loving wife, Marian L. Smith; his mother, Sandra Kaiser; two daughters, Danielle Mcleod and Valeri Bender Sumption; two brothers, Todd Smith and Jeff Smith; sister, Carrie Smith; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
