LaJuana was born on August 16, 1942, in Amarillo to her parents, Wayne and Geraldine Wester. She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1960. On June 18 of that same year, she married her beloved husband, Dale Sharber, in Amarillo. Together, they were longtime members of Trinity Baptist Church, where LaJuana was especially close to her Sunday School class, The Truth Seekers.
LaJuana was a patient and loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy came from time spent with her family and close friends. She made it a priority to attend as many activities as possible to support her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and proudly embraced her role as the family’s “go-to” Nanny.
In her younger years, LaJuana enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. She loved cooking and baking, and her home was a gathering place where family came together to share meals and make memories. She also found joy and relaxation in crocheting.
LaJuana will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering devotion to her family, and the love she so freely gave to all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, and her parents Wayne and Geraldine Wester.
