LaVenna Kae Anderson passed away and was reunited with her beloved husband, Tony, on September 11, 2024, in Amarillo. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 South Georgia, with Deacon Blaine Westlake officiating.
Kae was born on April 13, 1949, in Woodward, Oklahoma, to her parents, Floyd and Madeline Maddux Redd. She spent her formative years in Kansas before moving to Amarillo, where she graduated from Tascosa High School. She spent almost 40 years with Southwestern Bell Telephone, including a memorable year in Hawaii. Upon her return to Amarillo, she met Tony Anderson, to whom she was married for nearly 46 years until his passing on October 15, 2023.
An avid reader, Kae immersed herself in biographies, murder mysteries, and other books, demonstrating her passion for learning. She also enjoyed sports, especially football and her beloved Dallas Cowboys.
Kae’s love language was food; she was a devoted and supportive mother and grandmother. Her family was the center of her universe.
Kae was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Sean Patrick Anderson, and her beloved husband, Tony.
She is survived by her two sons, Adam Anderson and his wife Melanie of Austin, and Brandon Anderson and his wife Renee of Amarillo; her brother, Michael Redd of Arizona; and her five cherished grandchildren, Madeline, Carter, Luke, Amelia, and Bridget Anderson.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in Brentwood Chapel at Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S. Georgia St., Amarillo, Texas 79110.
