Lee Roy McKay

Bud was born May 12, 1926, in Turkey to Lon and Cecil McKay. He married Jo Wodruff on Nov. 13, 1949, in Quitaque. To this union came one son, Russ McKay, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was blessed with a large family of 13 siblings. Bud worked at Pantex in Amarillo for many years and still has family and friends in the Amarillo area.
Bud and Jo placed their membership at Central Church of Christ in 1964 and moved from Amarillo to Thousand Palms, Calif., in 2003. They were very active in the Bible class (original Young Married) and other areas during their time at Central. They returned to the Amarillo area often to visit family and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Gulsler and Juanita Lane; and a brother, Gary Lynn McKay.
Survivors include his wife, Jo; a son, Russ McKay; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Marge Purcell and Shorlette Durham, both of Albuquerque, N.M., Doris Davis and Dwight McKay, both of Amarillo, Threase Gregory of Lorenzo, Gaye Sperry of Idalou, Devorah Justus of Snyder, Renee Dudley and Trent McKay, both of Quitaque, and Gwen Martin of Lubbock.
