Lesa Gay Hardesty Marrell, 65, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026.
Lesa's life will be celebrated at Schooler Funeral Home's Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia, on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 2 pm.
Lesa was born on December 31, 1960, in Guymon, Oklahoma, and was raised in Gruver, Texas. She later made her home in Amarillo, where she built a life centered around family, hard work, and caring for others.
Lesa was the definition of a hard worker. She dedicated 20 years of service to California Commercial Investments and was known by everyone around her as someone who could accomplish anything she set her mind to. Strong-willed, independent, and hard-headed in the very best way, Lesa rarely asked for help and always found a way to take care of the people she loved.
Above all else, Lesa was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver to her family. She cherished spending time with those she loved and created lasting memories through her kindness, strength, and unwavering support.
She had a deep love for traveling and found joy in both the mountains and the ocean. Her adventurous spirit, determination, and love for life touched everyone who knew her.
Lesa is survived by her parents, John and Norma Hardesty; her brothers, Brad Hardesty and John Merle; her loving husband of 21 years, Rick Marrell; her children, Melissa Jones, Mandy Stephenson, and Shawn Stephenson; her stepchildren, Ricky Marrell, Richard and Rachelle Chavez, and Crystal Marrell; as well as many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Cooper; her brother, Randy Hardesty; her grandparents, Merle and Mickey Delano; her grandparents, John and Edna Hardesty; and granddaughter Hannah Stephenson.
Lesa will be remembered for her strength, determination, love for her family, and the countless lives she touched through her caring heart. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
