Loretta TenBrink

Loretta TenBrink, 89, of Amarillo passed away December 18, 2021.

Loretta was born May 29, 1932 to Pat and Grace Langley in Yuma, CO and graduated from Otis High School in Otis, CO. She married Earle TenBrink on June 4, 1950. Loretta loved board games, card games, and dominoes. She was affectionately known as a “notorious cheater” always shrugging it off as “she was just playing by different rules.” Loretta was an active line dancer and attended St. Stephens Church where she was also a member of the senior choir.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Earle; her parents; sister, Claudette; and her special pupper, Princess.

Loretta is survived by 2 sons, Randy TenBrink and wife, Michelle of Amarillo, TX and Bryon TenBrink of Arvada, CO; daughter, Cheryl TenBrink and Dwain Ideus of Round Rock, TX; sisters, Louise Boyer, Carolyn Polen, Barbara Letzig, and Sharron Fletcher; 4 grandchildren, Eric, Jason, Sarah, and Brian; 3 great-grandchildren, Wesley, Brooke, Emily, and one under construction; and very dear friend, Bob Higby of Amarillo, TX who stood by her side during several difficult years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
