Surrounded by family, Lori Ann (Schooler) West, 59, of Amarillo was reunited with her soulmate on Sunday, April 12, 2020.
A celebration of Lori’s life will be held in the future. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Lori was born on August 1, 1960 in Amarillo to Ronald Schooler and Jerry Quinn. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1978 and married the love of her life, Tim West, in 1980. Together they raised three strong and compassionate children: Timothy, Krystin, and Macy.
For the past forty years, Lori has been a presence in the West Texas banking industry. Like any great businesswoman, she loved her colleagues and clients alike and never missed an opportunity to represent the greater Amarillo community. She was a member of the Chaparral Hills Baptist Church and frequently volunteered her time at the Amarillo Downtown Women’s Center. However, Lori will be remembered most for being the kind of daughter, wife, and mother depicted in the Hallmark movies she loved so much. She was a perpetual “Room Mom” who always made the best Valentine’s Day boxes and a beloved “Team Mom” who always recruited the most team sponsors. She loved sweets (especially pie), always had homemade chicken spaghetti or “taco dish” at the ready, was a sneaky good bowler, and was the first one to get up and dance at a party. Lori was filled with a warm spirit and would do anything and everything for those she loved. She was also never afraid to “raise a little hell” if life called for it and her family and friends are confident that she and Tim are now eternally laughing together and keeping a close watch from above.
She is preceded in death by her uncles, Maurice and Phillip Schooler; parents; and loving husband Tim West, who passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer in July of 2019.
Lori is survived by her children, Timothy West, Krystin West and Macy West; daughter-in-law, Megan West; granddaughter, Clara West; sister, Kelly Havron; cousins Jim Schooler, Suzanne Eakes, and Tom Schooler; aunt, Mary Schooler; and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first grandson.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge (3513 10th St, Lubbock, TX 79415) for the support they provided Lori and Tim.
