Lucila nació en México el 16 de diciembre de 1941 de sus padres, Manuel Rodríguez y Damacia Méndez.
Lucila tenía un alma hermosa. Ella era cariñosa, feliz y ansiosa por ayudar a cualquiera que lo necesitara. Le gustaba cocinar, la música, ir de compras y, ocasionalmente, tomar una bebida para adultos. Lucila era la personificación de una ama de casa; mantuvo su casa impecable y dedicó su vida a su familia.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; sus hermanos, Nicolasa, Rubén, Luz Elena, Ramiro, Alfonso, Manuel y Carmen; y por su marido Jose.
Le sobreviven su hija, Nelly Arredondo de México; sus hijos, José Arredondo de El Paso, Raúl Arredondo, Jaime Arredondo y Javier Arredondo todos de Amarillo; sus hermanas Andrea y Martha Rodríguez; su hermano Jesús Rodríguez; sus nietos, Eric, Jason, Brandon, Jaime Jr., Michelle, Cristian, Evelyn, Jonathan, Alex, Alan, Gabriella y Brenda; sus bisnietos, Eric Jr., Roy. Elí. Giovani, Abel, Xiaven, Emiliano, Diego, Paola, Lucía, Jaime Leonardo, Mateo, Luciano, Max y Marian.
Lucila Rodriguez de Arredondo, age 82, unexpectedly died in Amarillo on August 17, 2024.
A Public Viewing will be on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 12 PM until 6:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia, with a rosary at 6:30 PM. A funeral liturgy will be on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home.
Lucila was born in Mexico on December 16, 1941, to her parents, Manuel Rodriguez and Damacia Mendez.
Lucila had a beautiful soul. She was caring, happy, and eager to help anyone in need. She enjoyed cooking, music, shopping, and the occasional adult beverage. Lucila was the epitome of a homemaker; she kept her house spotless and devoted her life to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Nicolasa, Ruben, Luz Elena, Ramiro, Alfonso, Manuel, and Carmen; and by her husband, Jose.
She is survived by her daughter, Nelly Arredondo, of Mexico; her sons, Jose Arredondo of El Paso, Raul Arredondo, Jaime Arredondo, and Javier Arredondo, all of Amarillo; her sisters, Andrea and Martha Rodriguez; her brother, Jesus Rodriguez; her grandchildren, Eric, Jason, Brandon, Jaime Jr., Michelle, Cristian, Evelyn, Jonathan, Alex, Alan, Gabriella, and Brenda; and her great-grandchildren, Eric Jr., Roy. Eli. Giovani, Abel, Xiaven, Emiliano, Diego, Paola, Lucia, Jaime Leonardo, Mateo, Luciano, Max and Marian.
