Celebrating the Life of Manuel Garcia De Leon
Today we gather to celebrate the life of a great man, Manuel Garcia De Leon, born in 1941. His is a life measured not merely by the years he lived, but by the people he loved, the friendships he cultivated, and the mark he left on those fortunate enough to know him.
Manuel was a man of the land—a farmer—one of those men who learned early on the value of the earth, hard work, and perseverance. His hands knew the meaning of toil, and his days were defined by responsibility and dedication.
Yet, Manuel was far more than just a hardworking man. He was a father, a friend, and a companion on life’s journey. He knew how to offer friendship, share in simple moments, and be truly present for the people who were part of his life.
As a father, he left a part of himself with his family: his teachings, his memories, his words, and his approach to life. For a person’s true legacy lies not in material possessions, but in the values, stories, and love that endure within those who carry on his journey.
Today, we wish to remember him not only with sadness at his passing but, above all, with gratitude for his life. We are grateful for the years shared, the conversations, the experiences, the joys, and even those small, everyday moments that have now become cherished memories. The land he worked so often reminds us of a beautiful truth: whatever is sown with love bears fruit. Throughout his life, Manuel sowed seeds of family, friendship, hard work, and memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Today, we celebrate Manuel Garcia De Leon: farmer, father, and friend.May his memory live on in every story told about him, in every lesson passed from one generation to the next, and in every moment his family and friends speak his name with affection.
Thank you, Manuel, for your life, your hard work, and all that you sowed in this world. Your story lives on in us.
Manuel was preceded in death by his parents Tomas and Juana (De Leon) Garcia, brother, Nicolas Garcia, Grandson, Julio Mendoza, and Granddaughter, Rosa Amescua.

Hoy celebramos a Manuel Garcia De Leon: campesino, padre, y amigo.
