Margaret Lynn Littlejohn peacefully joined her beloved husband in Heaven on July 24, 2026, where they are together once again after a lifetime of love.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Margaret's life will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Southwest Church of Christ.

Margaret was born on July 29, 1954, in Portales, New Mexico, to James and Wanda Degman Hilliard. Raised in a close-knit family, she treasured the memories of her childhood, many of which centered around her grandparents' home behind Parkway Grocery, the neighborhood store her parents built to serve their community. Those early years instilled in Margaret the values of hard work, hospitality, and family that would define the rest of her life. She graduated from Canyon High School.

On August 2, 1975, Margaret married the love of her life, Lewis D. Littlejohn, at what was then Bell Avenue Baptist Church. Their marriage marked the beginning of a beautiful adventure that spanned more than fifty years, until Lewis's passing on June 13, 2026. Together they built a home filled with laughter, faith, and unwavering devotion to one another and to the family they cherished.

Margaret was, above all else, devoted to her family. She was ever-present and wholeheartedly involved in every chapter of their lives. Whether cheering from the stands at sporting events, attending school activities, organizing fundraisers, or simply showing up whenever she was needed, Margaret was always there. Her love extended far beyond her own family. She became "Grandma" to so many, welcoming everyone with open arms and an open heart. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and belonging, where no one was ever made to feel like a stranger.

She found great joy in preparing meals for those she loved, and her enchiladas became legendary among family and friends.

Margaret was fiercely protective of the people she loved and wasn't afraid to be a little "spicy" when the situation called for it. In fact, she proudly embraced the fact that her name had become an adjective among family and friends because sometimes you simply had to "pull a Margaret" to get things done. She possessed a tenacious spirit and a competitive streak, especially when it came to card games. She played to win and rarely enjoyed losing, but even her competitiveness was accompanied by laughter and fun.

Above all, Margaret's life was marked by extraordinary generosity, steadfast loyalty, and unconditional love. She gave freely of her time, her talents, and her heart, making everyone around her feel valued and cared for. Simply put, her family was her greatest joy, her highest priority, and the enduring legacy she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Littlejohn, a sister, Orlene Martin; two brothers, Eddie and Jimmy Hilliard; and by her husband Lewis.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Janiece Littlejohn; her son Michael Littlejohn; her grandchildren, Aaliyah Littlejohn, Matthew Hulen, Nate Littlejohn and Lauren Hulen; and by many extended family and friends.
