Marty Alan Fenberg passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024. Marty was born on December 23,1935 in Pampa, Texas to Sam and Mollye Fenberg. Marty grew up in Amarillo where his family owned and operated Fenberg’s Diamond Shop.
Marty attended Amarillo High School and the University of Texas. After college, he returned to Amarillo where he joined the family business.
Over time, Marty was known to generations of Amarilloans as the successful owner of the Western Riveria swimming pool, the Grand Bowl, the Western Bowl, and Marty’s Restaurant. He loved golf, tennis, his daily gin game with his friends at Tascosa Country Club, and his daily “breakfast club.”
Marty is survived by his beloved wife, Susan, his daughter Cheri and her husband Ken Frame, his daughter Barbie and her husband Jeff Horowitz, his sister Vicky Cooper and her husband Marty Cooper, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Debi Fenberg and his brothers Charles and Jay. Marty adored his grandchildren Kevin and Colleen Frame, Whitney and Joe Kraska, Jake Horowitz, and Molly Horowitz, as well as his great grandchildren Allie Kate Kraska, Olivia Kraska, Madison Frame and Elliot Frame.
