Marvin Leon Webb

August 20, 1942 — February 12, 2009

Mr. Webb was born August 20, 1942 in Fort Sumner, NM to Virgil and Leola Webb. He met Michele and they married in Trinidad, Colorado. He was employed as a petroleum engineer with Diamond Shamrock and Santa Fe Energy. He was employed by Jaten Oil Company for over twenty-three years and served as the company president for many years. He was the past president of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Olan and L. R. “Buddy” Webb.
He is survived by his wife Michele of the home; one stepson Tom Kersnick of Pasadena, CA; three brothers, Lee Roy Webb of Mansfield, Tx, Orval Webb of Aztec, NM and O’Dell Webb of Quanah; five sisters, Margaret Oldham of Fort Sumner, NM, Erma Harkey of Auburn, CA, Arline Darrow of Hominy, OK, Freda Briscoe of Dallas and Lynda Archer of Amarillo; and many nieces and nephews.
