Mary “Kathy” Kathleen Morgan, 71, passed peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Canyon, Texas.
A celebration gathering will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10 am to 12 pm at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Kathy was born on April 19, 1954, in Corona, California to Alvin Odell and Barbara Jean (Pigeon) Keadle. Kathy arrived in Amarillo, Texas, in 1974, at the age of 20 and became a lifelong resident. She worked in the clerical field as a receptionist at Northwest Texas Hospital and The Right Angle to help care for her growing family.
Kathy was a firecracker who lit up every room she entered. She had a desire to live life and never missed a chance to laugh. Her life’s motto was, “Be unapologetically yourself”. She loved her music and was a connoisseur of the lyrical arts. From Elvis Presley to Willie Nelson, and everything in between, Kathy found great joy when the first strum of the guitar hit the speakers. She was a flamingo enthusiast as well. The bright pinks, pastel oranges, and beauty that came from the winged beauties were her favorite thing to admire.
But above all, Kathy cherished her family and friends that became family. Kathy loved making trips to Angel Fire, New Mexico with the family where she would spend time watching everyone laugh and enjoy time together. She was the best “GG” to Zayden.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Michael Keadle. Those left to cherish her memories are her grandson, Zayden Juarez (Grammy’s everything), grandson, Zach Juarez and wife Kelsey Marie Juarez (A close second place), daughter, Michelle Sutterfield, son, Ramon Class, granddaughter Destini Hendershott, grandson, Dallas Juarez, great-grandson, Hyde Layne Juarez, great-granddaughter, Ember Elayne Juarez; sisters, Carolyn Keadle, Karen Cook, and Sue Weaver, and the friends she loved like family, Sherrie Morris, Bruce McCollum, Jim Burrows, Mario Chavez, Sean and Jennifer Callahan, Mike Barclay, and Korey and Kason Devou.
