Max was born on September 24, 1953 in Jayton, Texas to his parents, Anselmo and Juanita Ramos Martinez. He was a man of many talents he made his living as a welder and took pride in providing for his family.  He enjoyed spending time fishing, cruising, camping and cooking out.  He also was quite the musician who enjoyed singing and playing the guitar.   Max supported the Dallas Cowboys, despite wins or loses much like he did his family; he was your biggest fan regardless of triumph or tribulation.  He was a God-fearing man and a member of Grace Church, always keeping his faith strong. There was nothing he cherished more than his family and spending time together. To Max, his family was everything.

His loss has deeply affected so many.  Max touched so many lives and to those who were fortunate enough to know and love him will forever miss him.

Max was preceded in death by parents; a sister Lydia Garcia and Sylvia Martinez; and a brother, Joe Martinez.

He is survived by his best friend and love of his life, Estefana; their four children, Christina Cristan, Pamela Martinez, Erica Martinez and her husband Miguel and Aaron Martinez all of Amarillo; his eight grandchildren, Johnathan Cristan, Isabella Cristan, Adrean Salas, Andres Salas, Naila Salas, Marissa Martinez, Natalia Martinez and Jailen Martinez; and by his siblings, Elmo Martinez and wife Monica of Jayton, Robert Martinez and wife Mary Helen of Plainview, Ruben Martinez and wife Jackie of Jayton, Concha Sierra and husband Laurecio of Fort Worth, Millie Gonzales and husband Carlos of Dallas and Lupe Martinez of Alice, Texas.

The family has been overwhelmed by your love and concern and would like to thank each of you that has reached out to them in any way.
