He grew up and was educated in Amarillo. He married Elizabeth Gallagher on July 2, 1977. As a lifelong resident of Amarillo, he was a “hard-lived” man working as a painter, roofer, and construction worker. He loved nature and anything that dealt with camping and fishing. He also loved to “tear it up” on the dance floor whether it be a rock concert or other functions at the Amarillo Civic Center. His love of music was evidenced by his captivation with The Beatles and Elvis Presley. He would have been quite happy that he passed away on John Lennon’s 70th birthday. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; a son, William; and two brother and two sisters, all of Amarillo.Memorials may be made to BSA Hospice, P O. Box 950, Amarillo, Texas 79105.
