Randle "Randy" Eugene Bryan

Randle “Randy” Eugene Bryan age 75 of Amarillo died on May 5, 2025.

A graveside service will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Llano Cemetery.

Randy was born on February 24, 1950 in Sayre, Oklahoma to his parents Marsh Wayne and Dora Faye Reed Bryan. He graduated from Caprock High School in 1968. He graduated from Amarillo College with an Associates in Computer Science.

One night, dragging Polk Street, Randy met a young lady, LaLana Swagerty, who was there with friends. The encounter was brief, but not too much time went before they crossed paths again. Randy had two questions for LaLana, “do you smoke?” the correct answer being, NO and “are you 18?” with the correct answer being YES. Their first date was January 8, and they were married September 1, 1973 in Amarillo.

Randy worked for the City of Amarillo for over thirty three years. He was the Senior Systems Analysis and CAD Administrator. As a draftsman he designed and implemented many programs for the City. He was also an AEDC liaison. Retiring in 2003, he continued to build and design computes and all things computer related.

He never met a stranger and enjoyed talking with anyone. Randy enjoyed life, exploring his ancestry and forever piddling with computers. He was a devoted husband, brother and friend and will be forever treasured.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Brenda Marie Bryan and by his favorite canine companion, Jax.

Randy is survived by his wife of 51 years LaLana; his sister Lavanda Burgess and her husband Clois of Amarillo; two nieces, Stacy Kirton and her husband Wes and Stephanie Burgess of Phoenix; a nephew Kyle Burgess of Amarillo; a great nephew, Jamison Kirton; and Smokie, his Border collie.
