Robert Gregg Spaulding

April 5, 1957 — September 12, 2023

Amarillo

Robert Gregg Spaulding, age 66, of Amarillo, entered his Heavenly home on September 12, 2023.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1-27 & McCormack.  The Rev. Ken Cole will officiate.

Gregg was born in Cornerbrook, Newfoundland, Canada, on April 5, 1957.  He was the first of three adopted children of Clinten Robert and June Spaulding.  Gregg was a fighter from the time he was born, weighing just over two pounds. He faced health challenges throughout his life but he never let that get him down.

He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1976 and worked in security services until his health prevented him from doing so.  He adored his siblings.  However, he was known to playfully pick on his sister, Neena, from time to time.  His brother, Randy, and he had an extraordinarily close relationship.  When Randy died, it was a challenging time for Gregg.  Gregg loved the simple things in life: cars, shopping, especially going to the flea market, watching Western movies, and his favorite, John Wayne. He adored each of his nieces and nephews.

Gregg was preceded in death by his father, Clinten, and his brother Randy.

He is survived by his mother, June Spaulding; his son, Gabriel Paul Spaulding of Colorado; his sister, Neena Marie Scharmer of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
