Roxane Lyn Moore, age 63, of Amarillo, passed away on September 2, 2026, at her home.

Roxane was born on June 17, 1963, in Punta Gorda, Florida, to Raymond E. and Lorraine D. Mueller Moore. She graduated from Northglenn Senior High School in Northglenn, Colorado, in 1981.

Throughout her career, Roxane was a dedicated and hardworking professional. She worked for Northwest Texas Healthcare System and AIG before beginning her career with Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she remained a valued employee until her passing.

Outside of work, in the past Roxane enjoyed traveling and bowling, but one of the greatest passions of her life was her love for animals. She had a tender heart for those who could not speak for themselves and generously gave her time volunteering with several local animal rescue organizations.

Roxane was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lorraine Moore. 

She is survived by her sister, Michele Butler and husband Mark; her niece, Kelli Butler and husband Jarred; her nephew, Colton Butler and his wife Charee; and her great-niece and great-nephew, Emma and Jude. She is also survived by several cousins. Her family also wants to acknowledge the role that her friends played in her life. They know who they are and some of them became family to Roxane. We will forever be thankful that she had those connections.

Roxane will be remembered for her independent and adventurous spirit, her dedication to her work, and especially for the kindness she extended to animals throughout her life.

In honor of Roxane’s life and her devotion to animals, the family suggests memorial donations be made to a local animal rescue organization of your choice.
