Ruby Christine (Modisette) Ford

Ruby Christine Ford, 98, passed away on December 14, 2023.

The family will receive guests from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 10 a.m. at South Georgia Baptist Church, 5209 S. Georgia with Danny Logan presiding.

Christine Ford was born in Blanco, Oklahoma on October 20, 1925 to William and Emma Modisette. She was number 15 out of 16 kids.

On January 6, 1945, Christine married the love of her life Loran Eugene Ford Sr. They were married for 40 years until the passing of Loran on January 15, 1985.

Christine loved to crochet, she made numerous baby blankets, slippers, and pot holders. One thing about her is she loved children and to babysit. She also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles. Christine also loved going to church and singing in the choir.

She is preceded in death by her husband, and sons James Ford and Loran Eugene Ford Jr.

Those left to cherish her memories are her two daughters and one son; Mary Miller of Amarillo, Donna Clark of Mohave Valley, AZ , and Don Ford of Amarillo, plus all of her grandchildren, which included 3 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild with another due in March.
