Russell was born February 22, 1974 in Amarillo to Mickey and Kay Annen. He graduated from Canyon High School in 1992. He was employed as a produce manager in grocery stores in Hereford and the surrounding area for many years, and was currently working at Lowes Grocery.
He is survived by his parents of Canyon; his grandfather, Melton Williams of Amarillo; aunts and uncles, Woodie and Pauline Fortenberry of Vinita, OK, Craig and Janie Annen of Amarillo, Curt and Linda Peters of Willis, Tx and Sam and Candice Fuller of Houston; cousins Kristen Grizzle, Brandon Annen, Angela Boatwright, Christopher Fields and Jaydn Fuller.
