San R. (Jones) Rainey

San Rogene Rainey, age 84, died December 1, 2023, at her, with her son by her side in Amarillo.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 South Georgia.

San was born in Hart, Texas, on July 26, 1939, to her parents, Worth and Othela Rouser Jones.  She was a lifelong resident of the Texas Panhandle.  San had a passion for animals; at one time, she owned a pet store in Pampa and raised miniature schnauzers.  She also enjoyed being outdoors and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Rainey, and a brother, Weldon Jones.

San is survived by her son, Brent Talley; her beloved grandchildren, Quinton, Avery, and Austin and their mother, Melissa Brandt; by a sister, Jeton Edge;  by her step-children, Bruce and Robin Rainey, Rob and Christine Rainey and Mary Whitehouse; and by canine and feline friends, Sasha and Pete.
